OUR Work

The Climate Agenda contributed a great deal to the formulation of the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP) right from the beginning. The Climate Agenda worked to stimulate demand among the public and to lobby government officials. We also contributed to the formation of several city action plans for the non-attainment cities under the purview of NCAP. Now, our focus is on effective execution.

Through campaigns on Air Pollution, information and awareness are spread out among people who do not have continuous access to information. Less or no access to information on the health impacts of air quality leads to the denial of the presence of the problem. Air pollution which has now taken the form of a health emergency remains unnoticed by almost the entire population of the state of Uttar Pradesh. The research and analysis on air pollution and its health impacts are not in a language that lay people can understand. Our work through air pollution campaigning is to convert the scientific language of information into the language of people. This is done through various modes of public messaging in our campaign activities.
