The Climate Agenda is a Uttar Pradesh based organisation that seeks to achieve a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment for all. We take an integrated approach to climate and social justice, working towards solution-focused narratives of pollution, a just energy transition, socio-environmental equality, and public health securities. As an organisation, we are in an exciting phase of transition that allows us to strengthen our research capacity.
Cities and how they are designed are not gender neutral. Gender impacts how an individual moves through, takes space in, and feels connected to the city. Because of systemic differences in access to resources, outsized household responsibilities, social norms, and lack of public safety, women’s movement is often curtailed. This prevents their full and equal participation in public, social, and economic life. By understanding and addressing the specific mobility needs and challenges faced by women, cities can develop transportation options that benefit everyone and contribute to a more equitable urban environment.
We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Research Lead to spearhead the Climate Agenda’s research on the intersections of gender, sustainability, and urban mobility.
